going to the dark side
well, now that I'm in south jersey, the surf is tougher and I bucked up and got a buggy pass to hit both the jetty pocket of Brigantine and especially the north end during the fall noreasters
 (these have been hot spots on the island and are a pain to walk on... big time... especially the north end).but my bro-in-law, had a boat sitting in his driveway for the past two years, and his was my main ticket to the back bays, pretty unaccessible otherwise. well, this year went in with him on a new Carolina Skiff 1655 DLX... a beautiful boat for the flats, for flyfishing and general back back stuff. I don't plan on taking it out front, except perhaps on pancake flat days... I get seasick

one thing I plan on putting on this skiff is an electric trolling motor for the sod banks!

yeah, I'm not giving up on the sand... but this is really needed for the flounder grounds... and the backbay tog in the fall.
that, and some fun in the sun with family.
