Default Penn 704 questions

I have a Penn 704, greenish blue color, with an aluminum side plate with Blue & Green waves on it, Silver handle, white football handle knob, white drag knob. It has never been used, came with a 9' white slammer, don't think that its original to the reel. Does anyone know the age or value this reel? Thanks

that reel has to be from the 70s or earlier I would guess?

not 100% sure but you can probably ask at Scotts Bait and Tackle / Mystic Island

When you set a price let me know... I'm not a collector and would use it if purchased... but not fair for me to set a price (as I seriously don't know what's fair).

that is a "new model 704". i bought my first one in 1972 for $24.99.used ones
sell for 25-50 bucks around my way,in good condition, new in the box, 75-100. i have 3 of them, one i paid 15 bucks for, just a few months ago. the only bad thing is they have an aluminum main gear and that side plate lets a lot of water in.
