George Steinbrenner Passes away
Just heard on the FAN that George passed away this mornign from a heart attack at the age of 80. Even though I'm a Met's fan, it is a sad day for baseball.

His biggest influence on sport, I believe, was the creation of the YES network. That set the stage for every market having dedicated cable programming.
In his younger years, he was hated. In his later years, revered and yes, even beloved, at least by some.
